Hans L. Akkermann (b. 1947) has spent his entire career working in Tank and Bulk Shipping. He joined Frachtcontor/Poseidon in 1973 and started the Tanker department. Hans L. Akkermann was appointed Managing Director in 1996 and has been Chairman of the Management Board since the beginning of 2000.

Dr. Martin Roettig (b. 1953) is a qualified lawyer. Before he came to Frachtcontor/Poseidon in 1996 as Financial Managing Director, he was head of the tax department at Stinnes AG, the former parent company of Frachtcontor and Poseidon, where he performed various internal management functions from 1982.
