Jens Christian Nielsen (b. 1962) started his shipping career in Denmark in 1980 and has held a number of commercial and management positions in the USA and Germany throughout his career. Before joining Frachtcontor in 2002, he was Managing Director of Skaarup Schiffahrt Hamburg. Jens became Partner of Frachtcontor in 2007 and has been the Managing Director since 2012.
Thore Schiller (b. 1972) joined Frachtcontor in 2016. He is a qualified lawyer and has a Masters degree in Shipping Law (LL.M.) from the University of Cape Town. He started his career with Allianz Marine & Aviation AG – rising to the position of Head of Hull Claims & Cargo Subrogation Germany. Before joining Frachtcontor he worked for a leading marine insurance broker as Claims Director and General Legal Counsel.
