Frachtcontor has offered commercial ship management through its subsidiary Poseidon Schiffahrt GmbH since the beginning of the 1970s. The link with the Chartering departments of Frachtcontor and the Agency section is a key advantage for owners served by us.

Apart from tankers, bulkcarriers and coasters, Poseidon handled predominantly OBOs of the Panamax class during the 1990s. This has changed in recent years and Poseidon now manages mainly tankers. It has been the Commercial Manager for the “Wappen” tankers since 2002. With their double hulls and twin engines, these are the safest chemical/oil tankers. The ships are managed by a team of specialists with many years of experience in this sector.
